Geat little DVD player/Burner!
I have an HP Desktop computer that burns DVDs VERY slowly. I needed to burn 50 DVDs of a children's program for parents. This little external DVD player/burner is quick and oh so easy to use. It connects via USB and uses 3.0 for faster speeds. Running Windows 10 on my newly built computer, it detected it immediately. Within 10 seconds I was already watching a DVD movie. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a quick, hassle-free DVD player/burner to use.

Not For Me
I purchased the DVD player because it stated that all you had to do was pop in and play without needing to download anything. Well inside the box was the instructions that stated if system Windows 10 would need to download the VLC app, tried that never got the drive to make the DVD play. When I find the receipt, I will check into returning this item. There was no telephone number for any kind of customer service. This item did not work for me.

    good purchase, affordable and works
    very affordable and works well. I had to download vlc player to watch dvds as I have windows 10 but it's free and very quick to set up. shipped very quickly, and didn't get hot or make a lot of noise. also has cord storage for underneath which is convenient. only thing I didn't like was the usb-c plug in was very hard to unplug from my computer, like it didn't fit very well. good purchase overall and I would recommend.

    Works excellent for what I purchased it for
    I finally caved in and decided to rip all of my music CDs to FLAC files. Bought this to do that. I useed it with my Windows laptop to rip over 300 CDs to FLAC. Worked excellent for that purpose. The music sounds just like if I was playing the CD. If you have a massive CD collection and you want to make it easily portable by ripping them, this will do the job for sure.

    SO NICE TO HAVE - I STILL BUY CD'S FOR MY MUSIC LIBRARY!!!
    WHEN I THINK OF THE CHEAP WAY LAPTOPS & PCs ARE MADE TODAY,  MADE WITHOUT A CD DRAWER, I NEEDED TO THEN  FIND A CONVENIENT ADAPTOR TO STILL BE ABLE TO CARRY ON THE WAY  -  I LIKE  - TO RUN MY ENTERTAINMENT DEVICES!!!  SHAME ON LAPTOPS FOR NOT INCLUDING CD DRAWERS FOR PROGRAM DOWNLOADS & MUSIC!!!  SO THIS LITTLE BABY STEPS IN TO SAVE MY DAY!  PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE FOR USABLE DEVICES IS CAUSING A HEAP OF ELECTRONICS IN THE DUMPS, WHEN THEY SHOULD STILL BE CURRENT!AND ARE STILL BEING USED!

    Plug and Play
    Fast delivery.  Super light and yet, it feels robust.  This DVD ROM arrived today and I connected it to my laptop right out of the box and it was ready to be used.  I tested a few DVD's and it worked perfectly.  I really like the groove the device has underneath to tuck the cable in for storage.  In addition, it comes with a USB to USB-C adapter.  I highly recommend this product.

    Great product, I would purchase again
    I was a little nervous to purchase this, but my grandson had a Chromebook for school work and needed to upload some files for a project. The chromebook has no disc drive. This product came in packaging as described in good condition. It is basically a plug and play external disc drive as stated. I had to download some drivers, but it was fairly straightforward. It has performed well so far and you can use it to watch your movie DVD'S as well.

    Works First Time Plugged In..
    I see some reviews where the DVD does not work. I unpackaged then plud the USB in. My laptop did not recongnize the USB, So I thought maybe this won't be another Item not working. I decited next to see if I incerted a Disc and see if it reads. Did the Run as soon as I plugged in.. I installed a Wireless Printer with zero issues. Works fantastic. Small easy to connect and use. Highly recommend.

    Perfect accessory for laptop
    Very pleased with this external DVD drive in every category. purchased as an accessory for daughters laptop so she could watch her dvds and listen to music with her laptop and it has not disappointed. Feels sturdy and durable for travel so I think it'll hold up for a long time I feel. Was not an issue to setup at all and has made it easier to do everything enjoyed, on one single device.
