Out of Date and non-existent Windows drivers.
Does not work with current (May 2021) update of Win 10. Made by Optiarc who does not support this item on their website. No drivers whatsoever available.

    the player plays my music cds and it was plug and play. the thing i hate is it has a internal usb connector that is very short so it make it had to find a place to set it to do what it does. so for me i would say find another one .

    Watch out
    Watch out ad shows windows 10 but it's not it's 1.0 this dvd rw is bad will not work I would buy different product I was going to return it but one day too late to return now mine just sounds like it's moving back and fourth not spinning at all it's faulty.

    Performance
    I had problems with periodic sound loss, or low volume, language caption loss, and freezing, but that could have been the two movies I watched. Or the two different playing apps I tried.

    A need satisfied
    So far, so good. Laptops are smaller and more compact, so this device is exactly what I need. My only complaint is it doesn't work with Chromebook, I even tried vcl, no joy! But I suspect this is an issue with Chromebook.

    Can't find a computer with DVD, CD anymore. I still have all my old DVD's and CD's from back in the day. If I have to install a component on computer I prefer to use a disc. I'm a older person and not ready to give up all my old ways. Plus I like that if traveling I can bring some of my DVD's to keep grandkids occupied if we don't have fast internet to stream. Plus I have some movies you can't find on DVD that I love and still like to watch now and then. This doesn't take up much space and the cost was minimal. Can't go wrong.
