Lightweight and easy to install
I received this car seat a few weeks ago from Stellar Product Testing and I have been very happy with it. It was very easy to install and I like that you could use it with or without the base. This makes it convenient if someone else may take baby for the day. It looked great and I liked the neutral colors of it. I can save it to use for another baby since it's not just bold boy or girl colors. The seat is so much lighter compared to my other seat. I can easily carry my daughter in it without issue and she is about 18 pounds. It was easy to carry and hold onto with the longer handle. My daughter seemed comfortable and I liked the extra padding for added comfort. She hasn't fussed while being in it. How to adjust the handle was a bit confusing at first but it is so much more convenient to let down with one hand. The plastic makes the seat lighter but I feel like it doesn't feel as durable. However, rhe safety features were not comprised which are my top concerns when choosing a car seat. The base was easy to install and the seat is easy to clip into it.

poor design
I bought this seat for my 4th baby and I honestly hate it. I've used Evenflo seats with all of my kids and been very happy with each purchase. I decided to get this one because of the brand and the affordable cost. pros: -color -lightweight -sturdy handle for carrying -low price cons: -buckle system is incredibly inconvenient, it's hard to buckle the baby when he's wiggling or crying. -takes extra effort to adjust shoulder straps -base was hard to install and I had to use a rolled towel to get it level, even with the towel the seat is so straight up and down that it makes his head roll forward. -it's hard to get the seat in and out of the base, if my baby is asleep and I have to snap it in the base he usually wakes up. -machine washed the cover 4 or 5 times and colors are fading -canopy is always in the way, I ended up taking it off Overall I do not recommend this infant seat. I've had good luck with all other Evenflo car seats, but I feel like this one has a poor design.

    Perfect spare seat
    It's always nice to have a spare car seat for an infant, whether for grandparents or babysitters. This seat is a great choice for a spare because it is easy to install, easy to carry baby around in, and versatile in how it can be secured into the car. My three-week-old seems to feel very comfortable in this seat. He falls asleep right away when we start driving him anywhere in it. The straps adjust easily, but they don't seem prone to twisting around like some car seats. He seems both secure and cozy in this one. The seat is very lightweight, and I found it pretty easy to install. It feels very secure when it's strapped in either with the seatbelt and no base, or with the base attached to the car. I find that I have a little trouble nesting the seat into the base, and I have to check to be sure it's snug. However, it is very easy to tell if it isn't nested correctly and—once it's in place— it is obviously quite securely attached. The seat really is light, so I'm sure it would be easy to carry a baby around in it. I tend to baby-wear, so I don't have a lot of need for carrying a baby in a car seat. For those who do, this would likely be an especially good seat to own. I will say that this carseat doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles. There isn't an extra cushion for the back of the head, although there is an adjustable shade that can go over the seat, like most car seats. It might be that, for a primary car seat, you may want to go for something a little fancier. But, all in all, this is a safe, simple, solid car seat that would be perfect for a spare seat.     Not Comfortable
    I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I wanted to like this car seat but my son found it extremely uncomfortable. There isn't very much padding, no comfortable headrest, and my son's feet kept hitting the hard base of the car seat. This seat would work better for smaller babies: for reference my son at six months is approximately 18 lbs. and almost 30 in. long. While the car seat is made affordable, I think you get what you pay for and I feel like a more expensive car seat would provide better affordability because you would be able to use the car seat longer as well as providing more comfortable fabric and material for the baby to sit in. I also found it quite difficult to click the car seat in and out of the base. I do like that you are able to use the car seat with or without the base because it makes it easier for travel or a second vehicle. Lastly, I didn't really care for the design or quality of the materials. It felt very flimsy and again, my son did not like the feel of it. The canopy does not come down far enough to cover enough sunlight and the handle on the car seat doesn't seem very stable. It seemed to get stuck when moving from front to back position. Overall, I personally would not recommend this car seat to family or friends.

    Positives: Super lightweight. I love how easy it is to move the handle! That was one of my biggest gripes with our old seat fabric looks almost stain resistant. Easy to remove and wash cover, crazy easy to reinstall. Way way easy to set up definitely an open and go product. EVERYthing is very self explanatory with this seat. I will likely continue to use it. Will be especially useful when baby gets bigger and I won't have to fight with the added weight of the seat. Great price point, very cost effective. Awesome seat for busy moms with lots of kids and jetting around town. The weight and was of carrying make this seat pretty great. Big thanks to Stellar Testing Panel for the opportunity to test this seat. It's definitely going to get good use. Negatives: If my baby falls asleep, her head flops from side to side when I turn the car because there really isn't enough padding and the seat super wide. This particular problem is easily solved with a rolled up muslin blanket. I wouldn't put her in it for one of our 12 hour car rides because I highly doubt she'd be comfortable. Very hard. It is incredibly easy to do the car seat carry where you wrap your arm around the side of the handle and hold onto the seat but where your fingers hold on, it's kind of sharp plastic. Very uncomfortable so I'll likely add some padding there. I do wish the shade came forward a bit more. It's hard to block the sun when it's directly overhead.

    A Car Seat for the Safety-Conscious Minimalist
    Lots of car seats have many different features that appeal to a variety of folks, but the Evenflo NurtureMax Infant Car Seat, that I received gratis from the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review, is specifically for the safety-conscious minimalist. There are very few contraptions and gizmos all over the seat and the base, and no buttons to speak of except for the belt for the latch system. It is SERIOUSLY light. A bit unnervingly light, and the foam bits in the back don't exude confidence. That said, it has been tested at twice the national standard for car seat safety, including rollover, temperature, and structural integrity testing. Therefore if you can wrap your brain around how something so light can be so safe, this is the car seat for you. I've had multiple infant car seats between my three kids, and this is easily the lightest and easiest to carry around. Shockingly easy. You can tell its weight gives it high marks in my book. I'm someone who likes to leave baby in the carrier and put the whole lot in shopping carts, or bring it with me when I know baby will sleep, so car seats often get a good bit of work as a carrier in my life. Hands down, this is the easiest carrier for actually carrying an infant that I have ever used. It took me some time to understand how to move the handle (push down, since there is no button), but I actually really like that feature -- again, very minimalist in my book. Regarding the installation, it was as easy as any other car seat base on the market, but getting the feel for inserting the car seat into the base took some time. I struggled to get the angle right such that the tabs locked into the base for a couple of days. While very secure, it was unlike my previous experiences. We have not had an opportunity to travel with this system yet, but I imagine it will be so much easier to lug this carrier/base around than any carrier we have used in the past.

    Function without the Frills
    If you are looking for a very basic, affordable car seat this is a great option. It is very lightweight, making it perfect for air travel, and it can be installed without the base. It's price point makes it great for a backup seat or an extra seat for a grandparent or care giver. The one-handed adjustable handle is a feature I wish more infant seats had and was easy to use. That being said, it lacks a lot of the extras usually found in an infant seat. While it is safe and functional, it doesn't have much padding or comfort features. While the base was easy to install, using the buckle and getting the seat in and out of the base took some practice. Overall, it is a great option for the price point, but not one I would choose for my main infant car seat. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this car seat.

    Sadly not Impressed
    I knew this was a budget friendly infant car seat. But I was quite disappointed when I got it. It felt and looked very cheaply made. Definitely not something I'm using as a primary car seat but a secondary. I still feel like it could be improved even for the price they offer it. The push down feature to move the handle down is really nice and I do love how light the car seat is. I received this car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

    Good car seat for the price
    I was given this NurtureMax car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. For the price, I think it is a really good consideration. Pros: It is lightweight and slim for carrying around, has above standard safety measures, and is a great price point. Cons: Padding is really thin and buckles are made completely of plastic. Overall, for the price- I think this is a good choice. But if you can afford the one step up, I prefer the Evenflo SafetyMax car seat because it's not too pricey, is still lightweight, but has much better padding. I attached a picture so you can see difference. The Evenflo SafetyMax is on the left and the Evenflo NurtureMax is on the right. Hope this helps

    Missing key features!
    Cute print but fabric feels cheap and is loud like windbreaker material. I returned this car seat because it lacked the convenience of the front button to adjust (tighten and loosen) the straps. You have the manually do this on the back of the car seat. I loosen the and tighten the straps every time my baby goes in and out of the seat. I thought this was a standard feature. Never seen a car seat the didn't have the button. Big deal breaker for us. I don't have how parents get the baby out without loosen the straps after unbuckling the baby. It is very lightweight which I did like. Maybe weights 5lbs
