works
This type helps me a lot better than the gel kind. that may be because I endure the taste and melt it under my tongue. taste is horrible, but it works faster that way.

The new packaging is stupid
The packaging is ridiculous. They changed the packaging a year or 2 ago and now it's impossible to access. Previously the 24 caplets were in a small bottle and they sold them in sheets for travel use that one could push through the foil. BUT NO MORE. Now equate only sells them in sheets for travel use (no more bottles). HOWEVER, the caplets now are enclosed in a plastic cover that requires one to use scissors to cut to reach the caplet and no foil one could push the caplet through! I am not exaggerating: the instructions on the sheet (but not on the outside of the box so one has no notice before buying it) expressly states to use scissors to cut the plastic covering the caplets!!! Because when one has fecal incontinence, one really has the time and ability to find a pair of scissors, cut the plastic carefully so as not to cut the tiny caplet, and do so AGAIN because the dosage is a minimum of 2 caplets. Sure the caplets work fine once one manages to free them from the packaging. But is it worth it or is it worth paying extra for the name brand and sensible packaging?

    Love the product but not the packaging or price.
    I agree with all the other shoppers, that the packaging is terribly inconvenient and hard get access. I do like the product very well though, as it works well for me. After having my gall bladder out, I am very prone to bouts of diarrhea, and I've been told by my doctor to take one or two tablets daily, so this product is a necessary one for me on a daily basis. I don't know why I haven't been able to get the 12 count package I have been getting for the last 3 years anymore, for the .98 cents. I do hope it goes back to the original price soon. Too bad it isn't made by prescription, as then my Medicare and champVA care would cover it for me.

    The container is not a plastic bottle but sealed packets of individual tablets which are difficult to access. Nowhere could I find a written notification of the nature of the packaging that would be helpful to me.

    Impossible to Open
    The medication works very good, if you can get them out of the packaging they are in. My wife and I have struggled on too many occasions trying to get at the pills, so I threw them out and will never buy these again. I will buy the brand name at full price from this day on.

    Put them back in a darn bottle!
    I stopped buying these for a long time because I hated the blister packaging that required one to fold and tear. Started buying them from a retailer named after a river in South America because they had them in a bottle. Saw the packaging in the store (rectangular box) and thought finally in a bottle! Got them home went to open and this was worse - REQUIRES scissors and very difficult to get the pill without breaking it. Will not buy again until it's in a bottle. Put it in a bottle. This packaging is horrible.

    The product is fine, the packaging is atrocious.
    The product is fine, my one-star rating is for the packaging. Why can't these caplets these come in a bottle instead the horrendous punch-out cards that are impossible to actually punch through? Once, some years back, I was able to order these in a bottle of loose caplets - why isn't that option available anymore? As it is, because it's literally not possible to get these caplets out of the punch cards when needed in a hurry, I have to spend the time to cut each single caplet out of the package by hand and transfer them to a pill bottle in order to have them ready to use when needed. It's extremely annoying, not to mention, ridiculous. I can't imagine why this medication isn't available in a more user-friendly form.

    Work well and price is reasonable
    Tablets arrived ahead of time. Driver was nice, knocked on my door and phoned to let me know my items were outside my door. Very nice delivery person. These tablets work as fast and the same as the name brand. At a faction of the cost.

    Why so difficult to open?
    While the product is good the packaging of the pills is horrible since I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and have to struggle to open them every time. 5 stars for the product itself but 0 stars for packaging.

    The worst packaging ever.
    You need to have scissors to open each individual blister compartment, and they didn't make it easy to do that, either. Anyone would think they were trying to secure gold bullion. Heaven help you if you're sick or need it in a hurry, because that isn't happening.

    I try and watch my diet, but sometimes when you least expect it, something all of a sudden hits you at the store or when you're on the train. Or bus. This effectively minimizes the chance of having that "accident" if you have to go out. I just find the packaging a bit frustrating to open and prefer the bottle packaging better.
