I am become Dyson, Deleter of Dust
In the spirit of Valentine's day, I thought I would write a love letter to this beautiful piece of machinery. When I fired this baby up yesterday, it's like all of my previous vacuuming experiences were a complete lie. Tears of happiness rolled down my face as I removed any evidence that dust and crumbs ever existed in my apartment. This vacuum has legitimately increased my happiness. Every aspect of the vacuuming experience has been carefully curated into making cleaning an absolute joy. Get this vacuum and your life will improve, I swear this to you.

The Animal version can't deal with dog hair
I bought this because my son was so happy with his regular Dyson but the V8 Animal has been a disappointment since it came out of the box. Even with a full charge the suction is minimal--it will pick up dust and hair but not much else. Much worse, for a product specifically sold to people with pets the canister almost immediately clogs with pet hair at the intake with the rest of the chamber empty so you end up emptying it constantly. I now have a very expensive vacuum cleaner that I use to get spider webs out of the corners since it's not useful for much else.

    Love my Dyson but…
    So I love the actual Dyson. Tried to get away with using a different vacuum and was unsuccessful. The issue I’m having with my new Dyson is it will not stay in the mounted charging port and dies very quickly because it won’t stay plugged in

    If *I* love it, then anyone will.
    I’m a 60-something guy who lives in an old farmhouse (lots of hardwood flooring) and dogs. And I DON’T CARE ABOUT DUST AND DOG HAIR BUT… I got this unit for coolness and convenience. Much easier to pull out of its bracket and touch up than to go through the process of getting my heavy corded vacuum (which IS more powerful), taking it outside to empty, lugging around only to miss under furniture, stairs, and tight spots. Yeah… “first world issue” for sure but I’m happy to say I was an instant convert. Plus I love the Dyson tech AND corporate philosophy!

    this girl is a BEAST! she has NO SHAME! I LOVE IT! I can vacuum all 3 floors of my home and still have power left! my favorite battery vacuum ever! She out does my robots and I may even like her better than my rainbows!!! so far I am a SUPER FAN! Several weeks in and super happy with this purchase!!!!! I have contemplated a Dyson for several years and sorry that I waited so long. I kept buying robots the past 6 years but this girl is seriously AWESOME!!!!!! AND MORE!!! THANK YOU Dyson!!

    Who would ever think that a vacuum so light, not having to plug-in to be able to vacuum my entire apartment? Well I want to introduce you to my Dyson vacuum. My Dyson vacuum makes cleaning fun.     Scratched my hardwood floors
    This is my third Dyson, never had an issue until I purchased this stick vac…the plastic under the head of the vacuum scratched my “real” hardwood floors, I was not happy. Instead of having an on/off button, you have to hold a trigger button which hurts your finger for days. The battery only stayed charged for maybe 15 minutes. Very disappointed knowing I have two other Dyson vacuums that work great, just wanted a light weight vacuum because I have allergies and I vacuum more on the main floor.

    I bought it mostly for cleaning around my bird's cage, but it is so handy that I use it throughout the house! The various attachments are all thoughtfully designed and useful. Highly recommended.
