What more do you need to say? I used the dc35 for 5 years, and it was possible only with battery replacement. I bought this with a breakdown of the dc35 and it works fine.

Do not buy this item.
Item did not work. Runs for 10 seconds and stops working. Bought this and gave it to my wife for Christmas. She charged it for 3 hours and it runs for 10 seconds and will not cut back on until it is plugged back in, and then it turns off after ten seconds again. I admit it was refurbished and I should have purchased new, but I was testing the refurbished product waters and I am highly disappointed.

    The battery life is VERY short lived. In my case so was the vacuum, after 2 months it stopped charging and no longer works.

    Great fine
    My wife loves this vacuum cleaner. She loves the power on the wool rugs and gentleness on hardwoods. The only issue is lack of battery power but we were are of this before purchasing. This light weight portable vacuum is almost perfect.

    Save your time and money
    Not quite DOA, but unit would only hold 10 seconds worth of a charge. Not only will it not charge, but it was also missing the blue cap that holds the air release in. Highly disappointed.

    Don't buy refurbished!!
    Don't buy refurbished! Release handle doesn't work, and battery won't charge. I bought the exact same kind new, loved it so much I wanted another one for upstairs. The refurbished vacuum had these issues right out of the box and I can't return it....waste of money!

    I want to love this, but I am not so sure about Dyson's remanufacturing process. The first time I ordered one it didn't work at all. This time it seems to work when it wants to. I also get a little electric shock in my hand when I use it.

    Not Your Normal Vacuum
    Don't usually get so excited about a vacuum- but I bought the refurbished version to just try it out vs investing in a vacuum that is bad. This is awesome 80% of my house is wood and tile. It's light enough to do the curtains, couch and over vents and I have 2 dogs. Love this and will invest in the new one in the future
