Tasty!
We made this for our Mother's Day cake and it's very good! Moist and has a might coconut after taste to it.

Not worth the money
I thought we'd give this a try since we're on keto. It's some of the nastiest mess we've eaten. My son said it's tasteless. I'll stick with homemade keto cake recipes from now on. This was an expensive lesson in what not to do.

    Coconut flavored, not classic yellow
I feel like a disclaimer should be made on this cake. It is made with almond and coconut flour AND calls for coconut oil. While it is advertised as a "classic yellow" cake, this combination makes it rather a VERY strong coconut cake instead. No one expecting a yellow (vanilla) cake liked it. Also, it makes about half as much as a classic cake box mix, so only 12 cupcakes or an 8x8 pan. We cut ours in to 16 tiny pieces and there were still leftovers from a group bc it wasn't well liked. If you LOVE coconut, it's a great cake.

So maybe I made it wrong but it didn't firm up. I cooked it as long as possible and I followed the instructions but the cake came out a gooey inedible mess

    Not For Me
Bought this as an alternative to the regular based cake mixes I'd been eating for decades. While this has a somewhat similar taste, it is too bland, grainy, and dry for my taste. I used butter instead of the coconut oil that was recommended thinking it'd lessen the coconut taste many have talked about. The coconut taste is still prevalent and overwhelming for me and just makes it tough to enjoy and really savor. The sugar free frosting I bought helps a little but not much. I'm starting to think there isn't any truly great tasting sugar free cake or brownie mix. I'll probably eat half of this and then throw the rest away. I mean it's tolerable, but I want something better than that.

    So so
Very odd texture and does not rise at all. The flavor was better than some of the pricier brands and it was moist but I won't be purchasing again

    I loved the whole thing!!!
I love this cake and I read some of the one-star reviews and found it funny that they all say that it tastes like coconut, lol, it is literally the third ingredient! Yes, it will have a coconut flavor. I use the cake for strawberry shortcake with sugar sub in the strawberries and sugar-free whipped cream and it is to die for! Thanks for a great product!!!

    Good substitute!
I usually bake keto from scratch. I remember the grainy, coconutty textures. This takes me back, as I have found how to bake without that added texture. So, I do not think of it as a negative, its what comes along with flour substitutes. My family enjoyed it after dinner. Its a little mushy the next day to me. Could have been how I stored it. Nevertheless, I would purchase and eat it up again. I used a small bundt cake pan. Worked fine.

    Deliciously Yummy!!!
Very good. Not low calorie. Measurements below are for 2 boxes. Added 4 tablespoons of canola oil ( I didnt have coconut oil) instead of 6 tablespoons. Added 2 Tablespoons of vanilla extract, eggs, water. Used my hand mixer just to incorporate all the ingredients and no lumps. Line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper and lightly sprayed around the edges. Spread all the mix and smoothed it out. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. Cool completely. The added vanilla extra boosted the flavor. Its also very moist.

Makes a great Honey Bun Cake
I have made a Honey Bun cake using SPLENDA brown sugar ( I tried Swerve and do not like it as well for baking) I have also used this as the "cake" in Strawberry Shortcake using Sugar Free Jello and Heavy Whipped Cream sweetened with Splenda. I find this mix to pretty versatile, But, it does have that "grainy texture" often found in Keto desserts with Coconut or Almond flour.
