Great bike for beginner.
Easy to assemble. Just need some bike tools.

I wouldn't recommend
No instructions or tools were included. Once I managed to assemble it with my own tools and directions from YouTube, I can't even touch my feet on the floor despite getting the right size! The handlebar always moves around even when I twist the screw as tight as I can. The tires look like they've been used. I'm pretty sure I got a return, not a new product. Buyer beware.

Price wise is easy on the pocket. However for the 1st few ride, it was okay but after 2 weeks, they joy of riding is gone as bike feel like breaking apart with loud irritating creaking noise when peddling hard. Guess it could be due to cheap parts used on the bike or poor installation. Hoping that Decathlon can solve this issue to return the joy of riding to customer who bought the particular bike. Would not recommend the bike if problems persists. Better to pay a little more than getting irritated and embarrassed riding the bike.

    Perfect for Beginners
From my point of view, this bike is the perfect choice for beginners as it is the combination of both road and mountain. I am so glad to receive the advice of one of the sports advisor at Bandar Sri Damansara. He even explained on the proper way to sit and avoid injuries. The workshop crew @ Petaling Jaya even helped to installed the stand and even assist me to send it to my car. My ridding experience was perfect. Went downhill safely and the both brakes works as it should. I tried it on different types of road. Perfect for beginners to try at our local parks such as Botanical Garden and Titiwangsa. I do hope, in the future sports advisor can also assist to explain on the gears usage and proper care of the gear and bike. Especially for beginners such as myself. In conclusion, thank you Petaling Jaya and Bandar Sri Damansara Team for your kind assitance and advice. Will try more sports if the process is as easy as this

    Good bike to start with
Bought to start riding again and has performed well for the last 4 or 5 rides in the city (about 20km each). Very slow compared to the street bikes so if you are thinking of riding in town or long distance this is not the best option. The gear shift is not very good as the dial on the handle is often accidentally switched when riding, this can be resolved with a pair of gloves. Im 6 feet so ordered the large frame, fits me well although a bit on the heavy side. Do note its best to change the seat saddle, buy a lock and also a stand.

    good beginner bike
I was looking for a more upright bicycle with good speed. I’m glad I bought this. I like the Matt black finishing. I usually takes about 1.5h-2h to cycle 17km using my old basic mtb and foldie. I easily reduce the timing to 1h-1.5h with this new bike. I was pleasantly surprise. I was zipping quickly thru the pcn. One bad thing was I had to change the seat as it is not cushy enough. And occasionally I can hear minor creaking sound but overall value for money. Do note that the wheel is narrower so the shock absorption is not as good as mtb. But I would highly recommend this for recreational pcn riders.

Great basic, general purpose, tough gravel bike
Our company, Bicycle Hire Kanchanburi, is based just 2 hours from Bangkok and we offer tours and bicycle hire in beautiful rural surroundings. We have 27 of these bikes and they are tough and easy to maintain; we have changed the original tyres to something more tough to avoid constant punctures. Other than that they are well suited and comfortable to ride on the rural roads and some of the farm tracks. We have recently set out a series of 8 Geocaches to enable families to hire our bicycles (at very reasonable cost) and go out on a treasure hunt. Look us up to find out more or, if you are thinking of buying one of these bikes come and hire one before you buy one !

    Great bicycle but ....
Bicycle was worth the price for its comfort on a entry level hybrid type. I think it better priced than other made in China mountain bicycles at the same price. The only issue was one of my pedal came out only 1 hour after collection . There was no way for me to fix it without a use of a spanner and even when I did fix it , it was being forceful as I suspect the thread became damaged when it was loose . Wanted to send for servicing , but was advised to bring my bicycle back down to city square . Company Policy is ridiculous for no pick up even when issue was caused on the day of collection (likely by improper set up)

for the price: so far, so good!
I bought without reading the reviews. Make sure you find the right size. I had to with Large as Medium was out of stock. Medium was more to my linking being borderline tall at 1.83m. I chose this model from the riverside series because it is cheap, weighs less, less moving parts = hopefully less maintenance and the Decathlon network for service. Two weeks into the purchase now averaging about 23kms/ride and settling in. No major issues. But, like of the reviewers previously, my only gripe as of now is that the speed is low for this bike. Every now and then when I hit my stride miss having another one or two top gears. Small compromise considering the price. Will update again and on the service experience.

    Very disappointed
Zero stars! The bike is ok, can't expect much for the price. But the bike failed in a disastrous way: The chain broke when starting at a red light in town. This happened within a month and after less than 150km of leisurely rides. I am an experienced cyclist and I am not overweight. I can live with a flat tire, or some lose screws, but this is outright dangerous and can lead to serious injury. Fellow cyclists, watch out when using Decathlon bikes, they are dangerous. I would also love for Decathlon to contact me about this issue.
