Just the right size for 2 people.
We have an 'empty nest' and no longer need the big outdoor barbeque. This Coleman Sportster is just the right size for 90% of our use. The grill gets amazingly hot very quickly. I measured 750 degrees on high after only 5 min, The porcelain covered grate is a breeze to clean.

Burned hole in lid.
The grill first time used it watched the red lid turn a darkened red. Second time used it noticed the burn mark. Watched it get bigger as I was cooking my baked potato. I had the older model that was longer and folded the other way. It was way better quality. Also this grill flame does not go high to low. It's always on high. Very low quality. Working in a refund

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/14/2023Burns everything! This is a review for the Coleman Portable Sportster 1-Burner Propane Grill with 11,000 BTUs, Red. PROS: It folds and it's portable. CONS: Burner is too close to grill, everything burns as soon as you put on grill, they should have made a bigger bottom or have the option of changing the position of the grill like a hibachi. Also the temp button doesn't seem to make a difference, the flame does not change, but you can tell this is not the cause of food burning since there is barely a high flame. Will be returning!robert

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/07/2023Awesom grillThis grill is amazing. I purchased it for my husband for camping trips since he hate lugging around are larger grill when we do our large family camping trips. This grill was able to handle burgers, hot dogs and steaks out for our large (22 people) quickly family quickly. And didn't take up a lot room.Coming Fam

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/29/2023hard for the uninitiatedSome people may roll their eyes, but this was hard to assemble. The only thing you need to assemble is the leg part. But I'm not a mechanical person and the verbiage and pictures really confused me. I'd never heard of a pivot bolt and says to attach the something to something, but not which direction. So my legs aren't quite right, but it stands straight so I'll fix it at some future time. It still got 4 stars because the instructions on using the grill were very good and I have made four meals successfully.libraryladydaily

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/15/2023This is a FIRE HAZARDThe temperature is the same on both low and high. I used it once and it was too hot and burned some of the food. I dismissed this experience as a learning curve with a new grill. The second time I went to use it I realized that the low and high settings both gave out high heat prior to cooking. I initiated a return but was told that they would not accept the return without the original box that it came in. This grill is a fire hazard. Please do not subject yourself to this danger. This is the first Coleman product that I have purchased that was of this quality and this is the worst experience that I have ever had with Walmart.Billy

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/12/2022Read all of thisThis little thing was exactly what I was always wanting! There is a clear difference between something cooked on the stove and cooked over a fire and this finally satisfied that craving. I live on the 2nd story of an apartment building and have done without a BBQ for years because I believed I couldn't have anything. I finally did some research and learned that I could have a BBQ with a 1 pound gas tank. I found this on sale at my local Walmart for $99 and jumped on it! I purchased two cans of propane also because I wasn't sure how long a tank lasts. Assembly was very difficult and confusing. I wish Coleman had an assembly video online. I needed to search YouTube and pause on other peoples videos to make sure my assembly was correct. This grill is great, but it could be better. I wish there were hooks on the sides to at least hand utensils from, and I was there was a side table with it so you could sit a plate or utensils on the side instead of needing to hold it constantly. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. Cleaning was also a breeze. Storage was a little difficult at first because I was storing it with the wheels at the bottom, you need to store it with the wheels up. Also, make sure to use the hook on the inner side of the leg to lock the lid in place and it won't open when you close the BBQ Also don't forget about the drip tray. It fell off while I was setting it up and I forgot to put it back on, hence the grease spill underneathMattsHonestReviews
