different but elegant
I love it! instructions were easy to follow. I still need to add a little more stuff. I'm so happy I bought it. it looks elegant. the price reasonable.

So disappointed...
I received this shelf yesterday. I am so disappointed that this is a printed veneer on particle board. I did not expect top notch quality, however I did not expect a print glued to MDF board. I set it up hoping that it would look better once it was put together and had stuff on it. From a distance, it looks ok at best. Up close it looks incredibly cheap. I tried to look up pricing info to return it and it would have cost an arm and a leg to send it back. I love the design of the shelf but that is it unfortunately. Also, this was for my son's room for his books and some toys. On the carpet, it is not sturdy at all. There are pieces to attach to the wall which we will have to use, but this is definitely not a shelf meant to be on carpet. It could easily tip over. Assembly was not easy, but I also had three boys running around while I was trying to do it, so that was definitely a factor...

    This was a really good buy if your trying to save money and still have a nice look!! It is pressed wood with thick paper covering of a nice rustic wood look!! Remember it's not real wood!! So it's not gonna have a beautiful real wood look!! But it's nice I'll attach a picture below!! Assembled pretty nicely once I got started just gotta follow the instructions!!

    DO NOT BUY! When this shelf first arrived, it looked very fake and cheap. It is a print of wood design over cheap wood. The WARNING sticker they put on the shelf pulled off a large chunk of printed part, it looks awful now. I am so incredibly disappointed in this product. Again I state, DO NOT BUY!

    not REAL salvaged cabin wood
    I do love this shelf and I love Hayneedle... it was unfortunate that I didn't read the description more thoroughly... I thought "constructed from wood" meant this was really "salvaged cabin" wood - what I didn't understand was that "finished in a natural wood color" meant that the finish was only what "appeared" to be salvaged cabin wood. So, while it looks rustic, it's actually a smooth veneer and it's not actually salvaged cabin wood. That's why only four stars... I think the advertising is a little deceptive but perhaps I should have delved deeper.

    This is in a small 12×11 room...Look great !
    This holds my router ,printer and landline phone as well as knicknacks .It is in a small 12x11 room .Works great with the desk !!! Note ! Must be secured to the wall !

    Beautiful reclaimed wood looking bookshelf
    This is the most unique and best looking bookcase for a great value. It arrived earlier than stated and was in excellent condition. It took less than an hour to assemble with 2 people. It is made of MDF which is the only reason it didn't get 5 stars but the quality looks amazing and for the price it is excellent. Feels very sturdy and has wall mounts to ensure it won't topple over. The photos do not do it justice with all the reclaimed wood colors. Everyone who has seen it is wanting to get one of their own because it looks so great!
