    CardioChek is a great at home cholesterol test, especially at the Walmart.com price. You have the choice of total triglycerides, total cholesterol or HDL test strips. Test strips are less than $5 each, much less than any doctors copay and you do not have to wait for results. Drawing the blood can be bothersome, but is necessary for any cholesterol test and is no worse than at the doctor. A few drops of blood is all that is necessary. If you are queezy or cant handle the sight of blood, you may want to rethink purchasing this item. A great deal of blood is not needed, but you do have to draw it yourself with a lancet. For anyone monitoring cholesterol, CardioChek is an easy way to save a great deal of money and hassle over the long term.

    Good test results
    I bought this for getting my cholesterol checked fast. It was giving some what reliable results. The only concern about this product is it is very sensitive to ambient light. keep that in mind and it should be fine.

    Not accurate
    I got this product because I have had high cholesterol and am in the process of making changes in my life to lower it. I thought with this product I would be able to check frequently so I would know how I was doing. Well, it has proven to not be accurate. I was scheduled to go to my Doctors office to have my blood drawn to check my cholesterol level, so thought I would check the machine at home to see how close it compaired to the lab. I checked my level at home a half hour before my blood was drawn at the lab, results: at home on this machine my total cholesterol was 220, results at the lab uas 185. I think the difference is far too great to make this machine usefull. I will be sending this back for a refund.
