This Brooklyn Standard Hybrid Mattress with Cooling Cover is the best.   so here is what you need to know: it comes in a box deflated.  open the box. do not remove the plastic wrap. put the wrapped mattress on the bed you want to use it on. now unwrap and then lay it flat while still in the last sealed plastic bag.   this is the fun part. cut the plastic bag and let some air in.  then go around the mattress and cut more plastic as the mattress magically rises up.  it will raise rather quickly.  pull the remaining plastic wrap out from underneath the mattress and give it a few more minutes to rise.  that is it. I dont think I could ever get it back down to the size it came in but wow is it a comfy mattress. it has no nasty chemical smells to it. while it does have a "new" smell to it, its not that odor that foam mattresses sometimes have that make you want to put it outside and air it out for a month. this one just smells like a new mattress once you put clean sheets on it, you only smell the clean sheets. this was an affordable way to set up the guest room with a day bed. but its so comfy I find my guest room is now my nap room. I do think it stayed cool while I napped. I got a firm one. my husband who is heavier said its comfy too and has good support. keep in mind, get deep sheet sets, this is not a thin mattress. my deep pocket sheets fit great and I know they will stay in place overnight and not snap off. I really recommend this mattress.

DO NOT BUY IS YOU NEED A FIRM MATTRESS
We got the 10” firm but it's not firm at all! We sunk into the middle and had hard time getting out. Caused back pain the first night and things have gone worse. Package arrived rather small but that's the only good thing. Now we'll definitely have to return this “firm” mattress with our own cost renting a pickup truck. Super unhappy with this purchase. But it'd might be a good purchase if you like super soft mattress. It's no where near firm.

    Good comfy buy for the $$
    The mattress delivered well. Opened and let sit to expand 3 nights, it grew to 14". Set on an adjustable base. It is softer than I thought it would be. (not firm) but soft is what I chose. I think soft but more supportive is what I expected. For the $$$ it was a good buy, I am using it and it is comfy.

    Somewhat disappointed.
    We were really looking forward to our new mattress.unfortunately after a few short weeks the mattress is starting to lose shape.there isn't much support around the edges.as a side sleeper when led youre within 6 or 8” of the edge of the mattress you feel like you'll roll off.the it is sewn together well but a disappointment on performance. We did purchase the soft mattress so perhaps the medium might be different but the soft was supposed to be best for side sleeping. I am hoping we can exchange for their medium and try that.if not we will be searching for a different manufacturer.

    PERFECT MATTRESS
    I bought this for my son. Really liked the reviews and the price. He loves it! Its ultra comfy and extremely well made. My husband and I would buy one for ourselves but we just brought a Sealy. NOT as comfortable as the Brooklyn mattress. Get it, you won't be sorry.

    Pros: The mattress came sooner than promised and is comfortable enough, although a bit softer than I was expecting after reading some of the reviews. Cons: It was very difficult to get all the plastic off of it to allow it to expand, it has zero edge support, and it doesn't seem to be all that "cooling" to me. All in all, it's probably about par for the course for what it cost.

    We like it!
    We like it! Let it puff up and it is very heavy with no handles for easy moving. The comfort is perfect if you like plush/slight firmness. It a lower profile mattress at 14 inches than my other pillow top, but it’s good and easier to get out of bed. Took a few days to adjust but sleep is better with little movement felt when spouse is turning over. For under $500 king-I was nervous since there weren’t a ton of reviews but it was worth it.

    Great Find!
    I was happy to find Brooklyn Hybrid twin on Wal Mart.com for less than half price of getting it direct from Brooklyn Beds. We have ordered queen and king beds from Brooklyn. This is the same high quality in a twin, even though it does not say it on the end of the mattress!

    I have the expensive version of this bed. This is just as good. I have a bad back that hurts when I lay on a bed that's not supportive. I bought this for my guest room and it's so comfortable. I can say I will always stick with Brooklyn bedding beds!
