Great epilator for beginners!
This was my first time trying an epilator and to be honest I didn't know what to expect after hearing how painful they were to use. I must say, doing my legs wasn't painful at all. 9 days later and my legs are as smooth as ever! The anti-slip grip make this epilator easy to hold whether you choose to use it on dry skin or in the shower. Being that this epilator is cordless, you can virtually use it anywhere. I love that Braun included a shaver and trimmer attachment, perfect for those more delicate areas! I wish I had tried epilators before, would have not only saved me time, but also many nicks over the years from razors. Braun is known for quality products and this one doesn't disappoint! Small surface area, not much grip.
I am not happy with this purchase - you can use it on small areas like your face or armpits but it takes forever to do my legs. It also does not seem to grip as well as the Braun Silk Epil 3.

    I love love love it!!!
    Let me start off by telling you if you've been sitting on the fence wondering whether you should buy one or not, BUY IT, GO FOR IT! My leg hairs are very thick and coarse my arm hairs are fine but either way there is very very minimal pain. In fact it honestly doesn't hurt at all. I made sure to let it grow so that I can show you how well it works. Please see my video as you can see it removed the hair with so much ease. It has different speeds and comes with different attachments and a cute little bag. I highly recommend it. I have had one in the past which sadly I am unable to use in America because it doesn't have dual voltage but you'd better believe my mom has it and it works great!     I am now so sorry I waited so long to use an epilator. I've used the Braun Silk epil 5 for over a month now, with great results. This rechargeable unit comes with 3 attachable heads for different purposes. A shave/trimmer, an epilator, and a massage attachment. It is also for use wet or dry. Although I have used it dry, with NO bad results. It works great for me on legs and underarms. With both areas I have felt only a slight tugging feeling. Not painful at all for me. I have used the enclosed brush to clean after each use, and store it in the draw bag which is included. I will say that my texture of hair is a bit fine, so I realize it may be less painful. BUT the gain for body hair to grow back even less thick, or not at all is so very awesome! It has a senso smart technology that keeps you physically from pressing too hard on your skin. The lights on the device tell you if you are losing power, quite handy. charges easily from my bathroom outlet. Skin afterwards feels so soft and clean. I wish I had discovered this a long time ago.     Amazing product!
    Braun has won yet again! The Braun silk-epilator is AMAZING. I have never experienced such ease with ANY hair removal products. The transition between blades and epilator heads is SO quick and simple. This epilator head is the most painless version I have ever used. I don't cringe whenever it is time to use it because I know it is almost painless. I don't know how Braun managed that, but THANK you! I love the ergonomic design which makes it easy to hold onto and not cause any slipping. The device is lightweight and very quiet. Did I mention it can be used dry OR wet?     This thing is top of the line
    I have been epilating for about 4 years now. This one is amazing compared to others I have used. It's super comfortable to use and straight forward to clean! It doesn't pull at your skin, (that's not to say epilating is painless, because it is painful especially if you are a beginner), but it's pretty minimal and gets all the hair quickly and I'm left with smooth soft skin. I appreciate the shaver attachment for when you rather shave to get those missed spots and don't feel like dealing with a tweeze like feeling to your areas. I can use before I get out of the shower or even in the shower as it does work in a wet environment. I don't use shaving cream because I don't need to with an epilator but I have noticed that this one in particular grabs all of the little short hairs as my other epilators only grabbed the longer ones. I love that this one is cordless. It stays charged for a while and I recharge it after about three or four uses. This product really does work - I epilate and I don't have to use it again for about 3 to 3 1/2 weeks. It beats shaving every day/every other day, for sure. No irritation or rashes what so ever.     Good for beginners
    This is a pretty nice epilator for starters. It is gentle to the skin. I like the fact that it is cordless, so you can actually use in the shower if you want (though I would rather use it dry). And it comes with a shaving attachment, so if you are new to the epilator game, you can use the shaving attachment in the beginning, until you get used to have something magically removing hair in your legs. One charge should last enough for 2-3 sessions, but they do recommend charging after every use if you can.     Easy for a quick on the go!
    Braun Silk-epil 5 epilator works amazing for a quick shave if your in a hurry. I did feel a slight pull of the hairs when I went across my leg that was not my favorite but when using the other shaver heads I loved it! The heads were very easy to interchange. The bag that came with it definitely made it easy to store and take with me when I have to go anywhere else. Definitely a good product and the battery stays charged for a long time. I recommend.
