Hopefully a success!
Spikes seem adequate so far. They are installed and I have others in the carport as well that are made of wire. The birds seem to be landing anywhere they can now but not nesting any longer. Let's hope that all of this money that I spend and paid installers to put them up will work. I should be able to enjoy my carport with the deck and be at peace in my own private area, and have a clean car!

First if all we only paid $16 for these, price has doubled. The plastic is made well and adhesive is strong. Unfortunatly, only a matter of time and the birds figured out how to build around the spikes. She started to build up. She would build close to the wall and fill in the areas through the spikes. Then she built a protective layer over the top of the spikes. Then she built her nest. If youve ever touched a birds nest you know it hardens. So once hardened she now knew she could build her nest no problem. Of course if we remove the nest once shes done we have to also remove all the spikes with it. I posted 2 photos to show the nest. One is our home and another is a family member whom bought the same product. My advice is to adhese the spikes from bottom to top leaving no space for birds to make a nest even if they tried building up.

    Works great
    We have Robins trying to make nest on our porch which leave a huge mess with grass,twigs and bird poop. These plastic spikes are effective, easy to install, almost invisible and safe for birds. I recommend them.

    Didn't deter the birds at all!
    The birds built their nest on top of the spikes - regardless of how I placed them. I went back to using aluminum foil, which is working great.

    Well Worth the Money
    These work exactly as designed ~ I used Command Strips to Mount them so I can take them down if I ever desire to. I was not sure the glue in the package would let me do that and or ruin the surface. They have been up a week and are doing a great job. There is 10' of these in 1' increments in the package.

    Bird product bad
    Did not work. Birds just sat on the top and pecked on the window. My friend got a metal one and it worked but this plastic one is of no use. Sorry I got it. A waste of money

    No More Nest
    I bought these bird spikes to prevent nest being built under our covered deck. Every Spring birds would start to build nest on the overhang on our support columns and cause a mess on our deck. If eggs had already been laid I would not disturb them but if they had just started a nest I would blow it down with a leaf blower. Since installing these spikes we have had no nest built and no bird poop to hose off.

    Great product!
    Birds were roosting under my covered porch where roof extends out. Droppings every morning. This worked great!! Some situations would require heavier duty ones, but worked great for me.
