I left a full review on what I did for best result
This does work. I had to out smart the bees cause believe it or not they are very smart. Lol. I hung it exactly were they fly in to go in the wood. I covered the holes they made giving them even more reason to go into the box holes. I think the whole carpenter bee family lives at my house cause it was at least 12 or 15. I've caught 7 the 1st few days. Orderd 3 more boxes to put in other areas I see the rest of the bees frequent. I definitely would recommend you just have to strategically place the box. And make sure it is still and not moving. A moving box will make the bees fly away. If you just have a few bees 1 or 2 boxes will be plenty just follow my directions and those on box.

I ordered through WalMart and received the product a week earlier than expected however, it arrived broken. I contact both Best Bee and WalMart. Best Bee never responded even though I replied to their e-mail inquiry. WalMart CS was wonderful. They contacted the third party and I received a 2nd trap within a week. Again, the trap arrived broken. Messages and photos sent to Best Bee again with no response. WalMart CS provided excellent service and refunded my purchase price.

    Good product at a good price
    I have used this carpenter bee trap before and its very effective. I like the new model which is easier to empty and no soft plastic to deteriorate. I got it from Walmart because they had the best price. I was pleasantly surprised to get it in a week vs. the 3 weeks they originally said.

    Bee-lieve it works!
    It works! Put this trap up on the sunny side of my house. Used a Velcro strap around a column to hang it. Added Bee-licious Bee bait inside trap. Three days later, there are 3 carpenter bees trapped inside!

    The box was mangled when it arrived and the roof of the trap appears to have been cut. I do not think it will impact the function of the trap but will hang it and try it.

    It took a few days just like the instructions said, but after the first day the first bee was trapped. It's been five days now and their are five bees in each of my two traps, on the upper deck railing and the other beneath the deck. I tried to locate them where I saw the most activity. I highly recommend these as nothing else seems to work against the carpenter bees. Last season I tried using a paper bag stuffed with plastic bags which simulated a hornets nest. It worked last year as the bees left. But this year it had no effect at all and these traps were recommended to me by a friend who showed his to me on Facebook.

    107 year historic home under Carpenter Bee Attack!
    Received 3 of these and put them up 3/27/2020. In less than 8 hours, I had the first bee collected. The next day, I ended up with 12 more. I collect them in a ziplock bag in the morning when they are very groggy and not moving much. 2 of the 3 have been successful, the other hasn't, so I'm moving it to another location. I didn't use any attraction materials or pheromones. I expect the move to make the 3rd trap successful in minimizing these bees. Thanks!
