Great Deal for a Big Fish Rod.
For the price, these rods are a real deal for fishing for catfish, carp and other large species. Nice long handles for making long casts and for extra leverage fighting big fish. I got the 8-foot spinning rod. Paired with a good 50-60 size spinning reel this is a great set up to handle large catfish. The rods have good backbone yet are fairly light. They are also very robust - I think you would really have to do something extraordinary to break one.

Great pole, great price.
Great pole for 25 bucks. Easily handles large fish. Cheap tip top can be cut even with mono. Good for night fishing as they are white. Strong figerglass rod. Just wish Berkley would replace their tip top with a cutproof one, as I have had to replace two of them. Otherwise, rod is fantastic!

    Awesome
Picked up one of these after seeing the reviews are good! I don't normally write reviews, but after landing a nice flathead catfish on the kanawha river Charleston, WV. I had to give my input. Rod works great and doesn't seem like it's easy to break. Guides are pretty tough. The guides seem to like the 50 pound braid I'm currently running on a spinning reel I have on it. I think this rod will hold up great over time. I will be testing that out for sure! For less than 25 bucks! Just get it if you are on a budget.. As long as you protect the rod and make sure you don't damage it anywhere, it will take care of you!

    Outstanding Spinning Rod and Value
Exceptional value from a highly proven spinning rod. These Berkley Big Game rods have been around for a while for good reason: They get the job done very well at a great price point. Like many others, I now am buying spares to keep around. I now have three Big Game combos with size 50 reels and will have a couple of spares for the occasional damaged rode. Had an insert break on one when the rod and reel slipped and fell to the ground. But I can replace that insert! I do not see myself ever needing anything more for my fishing preferences.

    Handles fat cats
I caught a 30 ish pound channel cat on here and it handled it great, I‘ve caught plenty 5-10 pound cats on this rod before but it handling a 33 pound cat warrants a review.

    The new monster pole
I really like it, not got a fish on it yet but I have reeled in a couple tree branches! Has nice grips and eyelets seem to be pretty durable I move it from truck to boat and all over garage and it's held up this far! Nothing has come lose. It's a very sturdy rod for the price!

Smart Purchase, great Rod, Great Price, Buy it now
Hi Ya'll, I am so Glad I just got my Berkley Bigame 8ft 2pc spin fishing rods. 12-30lb test, Med action. Nice big Rod tip stainless steel guide will make sure that If I have a swivel or large knot it will pass through the guides easily. Very nice whip to its cast, and you can not beat the price. at 21.00 each. Walmart/Berkley are the best. I would definitely recommend this rod to any one who fishes, blue fish, Stripers, black sea bass, Black fin tuna, Ling, weak fish, Tarpon, King fish and many other fish in the 20-40lb range. Just manage you reel size and rag and Go Fishing. Be well be safe and God bless. GC :-)
