12 year old boy tested, father approved.
Purchased to prevent permanent brain damage if 12 year old boy makes contact with concrete or asphalt pavement. Made of hard plastic Hard plastic helmet will most likely protect against unwanted slips, dips, and falls whether walking, skateboarding, or bicycling. Cost of item is well in line with the quality of the product and comparable other products. Cost is also significantly cheaper than yearly medical deductible and therefore appeals to this bargain shopper. While the device does not automatically place itself on said boys head, it will in fact remain there once installed by a parent or responsible adult and continue to provide protection until the completion of any activity.

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. Cheap is cheap. This is essentially a styrofoam bowl you tie to your head. The fit is about as good as putting a soup pot on your head with some string, the pot may be more comfortable. Previous models included stick on padding to get a better fit. This one does not so it bounces around on your head. The plastic cover is just tapped on and is coming off already. I would recommend that you only buy a helmet you can try on your head and inspect, yet I realize that with covid, it is not possible as in my case with all thing bike sold out

    Better than nothing on your head in a fall I guess
    Not very adjustable and one adult size does not fit all adults! Needs a better fitting and adjustable head strap, not just the chin.

    Red Mercury helmet - good fit, good price
    I gave two of these as gift to a couple having purchased one for myself in the past. The fit is comfortable because of internal adjustments and snug without pressure. It is quite lightweight but made solidly. It has good ventilation which means staying cool in summer. This helmet is not expensive; and I leave it in the car so it's always handy. Needless to say I would recommend it, having sent the two helmets to friends.

    RUNS LARGE AND NO IT IS NOT ORANGE IT IS RED
    This helmet to me looks Orange... it says it's red but it looks Orange in the picture. When I got it, it was bright red. It's also larger feeling than it says it is... if your head is extra large then this will fit you. quality is good, and it looks good, it's just not represented correctly in the picture.

    Shipped fast. Appreciate that. But turn out to be too small for me. There is no adjustable so a bit big for my 6 year old.

    Good product. The only drawback is that the entire body of helmet is one block of foam padding and the red part is a sticker applied over the foam. It does not have an outer body with inner padding like conventional helmets
