Awesomeness in a cardboard box
So I had trouble getting my mushrooms to grow the first go around. I emailed customer service and they sent me a replacement right away. I was finally able to see some growth and then the mushrooms grew like crazy!! On day 10 I harvested the mushrooms and fried them It was amazing!! I can't wait to see if I can get the other side to grow as well!

My mushroom kit just arrives and there was stuff sticking out of the corner of the box not sure what it is but I have seen these kits in the store and none looked like this. I don't know what this stuff is not sure if it is mushrooms or packing material. I am not happy at getting a package that looks this awful and doubt I will use it I am very unhappy with it by the looks of it this should never have been shipped out what a waste of money!

    A must buy!
    This has been a neat product. My husband mentioned wanting to grow mushrooms so when my kiddo and I seen this kit in Walmart, she thought it would be a great Father's Day Gift. These little things have really taken off! It's been cool to see much they have grown. I swear every time I go into the kitchen they have gotten larger! My husband is excited to make a pizza with them, lol. He had taken a lot of pride in these little mushrooms, great gift for the guy who is hard to shop for! :)

    There's a fungus among us!
    My kit was actually missing directions and the little spray bottle which was disappointint. I am on the 7th day and unable to stand the box upright yet because the water leaks everywhere. I don't believe these are normal issues and am willing to overloom it because the kit is growing some amazing mushrooms. The directions can be found on their website and have better video directions than any paper directions would be. It is soo much fun to watch them grow. They are dense and there is a lot of them growing. I have never eaten an oyster mushroom but am looking forward to it in a couple more days or so. I highly recommend this kit to grow some mushrooms.

    so I'm not sure if I did it right or not but this is what it looks like it doesn't look very appetizing and it doesn't look like the picture but it looks like a lot of mushrooms

    While it's a neat experience for children to see a portion of the lifecycle of mushrooms, it's pricy for such a small one-time crop. It didn't grow a bonus crop, only mold. I would suggest this more for educational purposes, without expecting much beyond the experience.
