Great all around
My garden has exceeded all of my expectations in looks and quality. My herbs are thriving, I can't keep up with them, can't eat them fast enough! Even if you have a black thumb, you can grow herbs with this product with the water and food reminders. Ver satisfied

I had previously had an AeroGarden for five plus years and enjoyed growing my own herbs. I thought this version was more attractive and decided to purchase it. I'm not happy with it because I haven't been able to grow basil--of all things. Usually basil was the first to grow. I have tried 3 times to grow basil and each time, the basil molds before any germination. I have gotten parsley and sage to grow but not much else. Also, the lid where the pods go in looks terribly messy. The growing solution somehow leaks through the seams and there is a bunch of brown dried solution/water on the lid.

    Performs As Advertised
    I chose the Harvest Elite Slim because I am not a gardener and thought having a digital display telling me when to add water and plant food would be beneficial in growing a healthy garden. The display makes this an easy and pleasant process. The garden delivered on the promise of fast growing herbs. Within 3 weeks I was enjoy herbs from this garden. The other reason I chose this garden was my limited space and the Harvest Elite Slim fits comfortably on top of my refrigerator. I also had the need to contact customer service and they responded quickly and resolved my issue in a timely manner. Thus far I am pleased with the garden, the herbs and their customer service.

    Great unit for seniors
    It is very handy and small enough to easily move. My plants are growing well and it is much easier to operate than the other much larger unit I own. The only down side is that I find the touch operation to set it up difficult to understand and frankly it isn't always sensitive to my 70+ year old fingers. The size is perfect for a 1 person household and is small enough to fit well in my senior apartment.

    Easy to break, not even sure how it broke
    After only 18 days the small LED display stopped working. Everything else works great, but the display is required to setup a new garden, and display refill reminders. I can keep the refill reminders in my phone, but the setup is now impossible for a new garden. I can only continue with my current setup options. Luckily I have the longest light setting for this one, and can still manually cycle lights. Watering cycles however will never change now. I've tried unplugging and restarting, and removing and reattaching the power cord altogether. Neither worked. This also appears to be a pretty common issue with most models based on online troubleshooting research.

    I love that I received this as a Christmas gift. I have harvested lettuce and herbs. The Slim with its 6 pod holes isn't quite enough for multiple salads a week, but I am happy with the harvest.

    Favorite gift for a foodie husband
    I purchased the AeroGarden for my husband at Christmas. He set it up a week later and by Valentine's Day we had fresh dill and basil for cooking, and all four of the other herb plants are thriving. We have enough to be giving away the dill - All in all, it was one of his favorite gifts!

    FANTASTIC Grow Light
    I've tried a few different hydroponic models and AeroGarden is the best, by far. For starters, it is the best grow light out there. The plant food is really well formulated and ALL my plants dig it. The seed pods are larger (taller) than other brands, which seem to better support the plant. I do use other brand pods but honestly, AeroGarden's are competitively priced so not worth the switch. Also, the pre-seeded pods are fantastic, too. Especially the lettuce pods which put out some wonderful crops. CON: My only complaint is that the grow light isn't height adjustable on this model. The taller plants need to be harvested earlier than they should. I just moved the herbs to dirt pots and submerged them in plastic food storage bowls with water at the bottom (like an earth-tainer). As for the lettuce, I moved them to a diy hydroponic set up (food-grade totes, a submersible water pump and a grow light) - and voila! lettuce keeps growing.

    Awesome product!
    The light is very bright so I would suggest putting it in a place where the light doesn't bother anyone. I love mine. So far I have only been growing herbs for 50 days and the plants are big enough to use already.

    We love this. Everything is growing. I do wonder if the slim version keeps the plants too close together? Otherwise, it's doing great :) I can't ever grow anything and all of the herbs are thriving.

    Cute little machine that gets the job done. I thoroughly enjoy that it looks beautiful long the back of my counter top or along the fireplace mantle. They one thing i dislike about it is the clip to raise and lower the light. It is very hard for me to open and close I would love it to have the button instead.

    I was hesitant at first as I had no idea what I am signing up for, however, this is pretty awesome product and requires no work at all which I love. All 6 pods are healthy and growing. Tasty greens are available at my reach now. Next I need to figure out how to grow tomatoes in it. Would have to give up one of the plants I guess.
