A student's best friend!
The components aren't powerful, but it's good enough for me to get my school work done. I really like this laptop. Everything is accessible through my own gmail account, and it's easy to access my schoolwork with a few clicks. The shortcuts are more than helpfu. It's also light weight and I have no problems commuting with it. The screen size and the battery life is good. The speakers are great as well. Also, I like the fact that I don't have to download Microsoft Word. It was very easy to setup my Google Drive. Love that I can store my pictures and documents with ease. This product came with a sleeve that's has good padding with extra zipper pocket and it repels water nicely.

Good For all things Goolge
If you have never had a Chromebook before it is a learning curve. You pretty much can only do things google related. You can't download anything unless its in the google play store or is compatible with the google operating system. It does move very fast and you can go on the internet as usual. This is great for kids and teenagers for schoolwork. It is light weight and has a nice brushed chrome finish.

Money Well Spent: Acer 14in Chromebook
I needed to find chromebooks with good reviews that weren't steep on the wallet. I ran across this Acer and purchased 2. I am very pleased with this purchase. The kids get to complete their school while I currently work from home during this new norm. This is a win-win! It operates fast, no lag time, came packaged well and secured, the case fits perfectly. It didn't have many unnecessary preloaded apps installed. The keyboard and housing isn't flimsy. The display is also pleasant on the eyes, of course that can be adjusted to your liking if it's too bright, etc. I was able to install Family Link on my youngest's chromebook. This keeps an extra layer of comfort knowing what she's doing as I purchased this for schoolwork, not playtime. The only gripe I have is the time it took to ship. My order took close to 2 wks to arrive. Other than that, I just might purchase one for myself.

    Very nice Chromebook from Acer!
I am a huge fan of Chromebooks so I am very pleased with this Acer Chromebook 14, Intel Atom x5-E8000 Quad-Core Processor, 14 HD, 4GB LPDDR3, 32GB eMMC. With up to 14 hrs of battery life I am able to use this laptop for hours without stressing that it will run low. I like that Chromebooks come with built in virus protection so I don't have to purchase it and there's automatic updates and backups for protection and peace of mind. I love the 32GB hard drive capacity so I can store many of my photos and videos from my tablet. I use this laptop often and since this is my second Chromebook I can add Google Play Store apps to this one that I can't on my other due to low storage space because of my videos. There's a built-in webcam that I haven't used but nice that it's there. The screen is a full HD IPS display so I have great views of my pictures and videos. I highly recommend this Chromebook from Acer as they have good quality products.

    Great laptop replacement
This thing has great battery life and is super fast. I find it operates more like an Apple product than the typical laptop that I'm used to, so there's been a bit of a learning curve for me. It truly has all that I need for home use. I'm a Google/Android person, so setup of this was crazy easy....just sign in and it does the rest for you! Google docs is great in the event I need to see a spreadsheet or document, so I haven't missed not having the standard office suite on a laptop. I will definitely be recommending this to family and friends who need something for home use!

Fast, light, and easy to use Chromebook
I was previously using an old laptop, but only needed something for basic internet functions and this does exactly that. It set up super quickly right out of the box and was able to use it in no time. It boots up so quickly and even included a padded case to be able to transport it if needed. As it has been mentioned before though, it is not a laptop. It cannot be hard wired (it needs to have Wi-Fi for internet access) and uses Google Chrome as the OS; for some, this will be an adjustment to get familiar with. It also only has 2 USB ports, which can be very limiting for those wanting to connect multiple items in use with the Chromebook (i.e. mouse, keyboard, printer, etc). So far though, I am very happy with the touch pad mouse and had no issues connecting a 2nd monitor-to be able to do multiple tasks. I really enjoy the speed and that this Chromebook is able to easily and quickly do exactly what I need to use it for.

    Good Midsize Chromebook
I am a little biased about computer brands - Acer has become my favorite because of reputation and their ComfyView display (anti-glare). While I find my 15.6" model to be easier on my vision (I lost one eye to cancer), it is a bit bulky and a little more cumbersome to move around. That is why I chose to take this Acer Chromebook 14 for a test drive. I refer to this as midsize because at 14" it is certainly bigger than the usual 11.6" models but not quite as big as the Acer Chromebook 15 that I am accustomed to. As with any computer there are some pros and cons. Based on my experience with Acer Chromebooks (I've had 4 in 3 different display sizes), here's my list: Pros: Smaller size, but not too small. The 14" has the feel and weight of a small Chromebook making it more portable and easy in the hand. It has two USB ports and a HDMI port. The LCD ComfyView screen is easy on the eyes with no glare from natural lighting or lamps nearby. The sound quality is really good - the speakers are on the underside of the device. Cons: The 1.04 GHz processor feels a little sluggish compared to my 1.50 GHz processor on the Chromebook 15. I feel a little lag when opening webpages or playing games such as Candy Crush. The games are doable - but it just doesn't feel as smooth. The display is another issue for me - the colors aren't as crisp and the screen can wash out depending on how far you open the lid. I don't experience this with my Chromebook 15 because it has IPS. The power port is on the right side of the laptop, as is the headphone jack. Placement is always subjective - it depends on your workspace as to where it is more convenient to have ports. I am right handed and not at all accustomed to having these ports on the right. It should be noted, this is not touchscreen nor does it have a backlit keyboard. The keys are a nice size and easy to type with. Overall, I would recommend this as it is a brand you can trust and great if you plan on using it on the go. I'm totally in love with the chrome look and feel - there's nothing like a shiny metal Chromebook to make you feel just a bit more classy while you work or surf.

    Great is the Chromebook
The Acer Chromebook 14" really surprised me on how fast and efficient it was and how nice and slim the whole Chromebook really is. It has a very powerful processor and enough memory to do all that I need it to do. I write books and it is nice to take somewhere and type all day and not worry about the battery, for it has a 14 hour life on it. It is very versatile in having more than one app running at a time and able to search at the same time. I really like this Acer Chromebook, and I think you will too.

    Easy Set-Up
This computer is very competitively priced, and it seems to work fine so far. The sleek, silver, style, looks very classy and high end. This is super low maintenance, and everything is run through a google account. The set up is simple, you either type in your email information, or you have to sign up for a new Gmail account, there is no exception to this requirement. If you want to use programs, you can open the launcher and add apps through the Google Play Store. It operates on Chrome and connects everything from your emails, to Google Docs, to video conferences, and excel-like sheets. The storage on this unit is not exceptionally large, but that is because Google stores most of your material linked to your email in their cloud. We use this computer for my children's coding apps, which are mostly already formatted to run on Chrome. After a few uses, I have noticed that it does take a short while to turn on and turn off. You do these actions by pressing and holding the power button, there is no close power button on the screen like PC's. If you choose to sleep your computer, you simply close it shut and it automatically goes to sleep. I do believe that these computers are made to simply open and shut while keeping you connected as it opens. If you shut it off, you will need to re-sign into your account upon powering up the computer. Because it is a Chromebook, it has no cd rom drive. I know this is supposed to be the way of the world, but I like having my cd rom for any additional programs that I might like, where I do not have to put in my credit card information in order to purchase an app that doesn't work quite as well as having the program. But, I guess I could just download whatever program I need.

    Acer chromebook
I'm not that big on chrome books. I always felt like why not just get a regular laptop but I really like this chrome book. The aluminum finish is beautiful and easy to clean. It's small and lightweight so it's easy to carry and travel with and it came with its own carrying sleeve. I was surprised at how fast it came on when I pressed the power key and how responsive it is. The screen is 14” so it's a good size. The display is crisp and clear and it can be synced with my Samsung galaxy note 9 as well as google home so I can do almost everything thing from it like send text messages and turn my lights on and off. Set up was easy and quick and once I put in my google info everything synced over. I have to get use to the track pad because I'm still not sure how to make it scroll. The battery life is good. You can have several windows open without this chrome book slowing down. The sound is good and it doesn't make that running fan noise like some laptops. It's a great product.
