Great for kids!
I took a client and his granddaughter out for panfish and bass. This reel performed flawlessly and she was able to easily launch long casts.

Would love to have my money back, to be honest
They obviously never really test what they build, at least not the cheaper stuff. This reel looks great... but it casts very poorly(compared to my other brand spincast reel).... keeps catching on the outflow and yanking the lure back at me... then I pull the line to see if its backlashed or something... nothing, pulls right out. Just a poor distance caster, even for a spincast. Noisy. Ping Ping Ping Ping on each crank.... can feel the gears grinding too. The REAL deal breaker.... that skinny design. The back half of the reel is very skinny. Hey, great, looks cool right? Well.... they put the crank there, and so its also VERY close to the rod. YOU LITERALLY CANNOT HOLD THE ROD IN YOUR LEFT HAND AND CRANK WITH YOUR RIGHT, WITHOUT CONSTANTLY BANGING YOUR LEFT THUMB. The crank is so close to the rod, your hands hit each other constantly. Every time I get I am reeling fast I keep banging my hands together.... its just VERY annoying to use. Replacing immediately.

    Smooth Casting !
    I ordered this reel for my 6' Ugly stick as the original reel failed, it was bigger than the original and the first time using it it worked perfectly. I am right handed so I had switched the crank around to the other side for more convenience, on my first cast it went further then expected, reeling it in was smooth I would highly recommend this reel.

    Extremely noisy bail bearing right out of the box. (This is my 2nd AG pro max reel, the 1st I returned to midway) Noise stopped after oiling the bearing only to have it return added about 20 casts while out fishing. I bought the size 40. No offer from AG to replace brand new DEFECTIVE reel. The reel finish looks nice, but too noisy and can't use it.

    Hands down best reel for beginers
    This reel is built for abuse and keeps spinning,u don't see reels like this that usually make it past the first fishing trip but structure and durability makes this stand out from competitors reels, price point is spot on for a reel like this even though other reels pay be priced way less u always get what u pay for and this u do!!!!!!

    Not Like Grandpa's Old Spin Cast
    I've used the reel for a month now with my kids and clients who are more comfortable with this style of reel. Effortless casting and a smooth drag system. It's mostly used for panfish, but we've landed drag-pulling Pike up to 7 pounds on it.

    Extra smooth reel
    I bought these for my guide clients to use on float rods, worked out better than I thought.. they handle braided line with ease and the drag worked great and very smooth. Great buy!

    Very smooth, strong, and reliable
    The first time using this reel was last week. I pulled in a 31lb flathead with this reel and 20lb fireline. On a medium action fenwick hmg rod. Definitely pleased with my purchase.
