Not what it says
Either someone switched labels or these people have not clue to what putty is.
No way will this make spikes let alone hold them in place.

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/21/2017Smells good but doesn't holdThe directions say to use a finger tip amount. I have used about ten times that amount and my hair still isn't holding in place. It smells good however for the expensive price, the product should be much better. If you have thick hair and it is longer than 2 inches, I would stay away from this product. It's unfortunate.Kacper

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/31/2014"Good For Medium-Length, Thick, Body-Less Hair"...For the record: My hair is medium-length, thick and essentially "body-less". Without any hair product it will form a "bowl-do" in a "city minute" or less. It "sniffs" like a fairly mild decent smelling men's cologne. It isn't "grandpa style" via musky overtones or overbearing on the nose holes. The SHINE is MEDIUM. It is NOT as heavy as the Axe Spiking Glue (red tube). By appearance this cream looks (in the jar) similar to the Axe Natural Look grooming cream. The HOLD is MEDIUM but leans toward STRONG/HIGH hold. My hair looks pretty good with this product albeit not as "natural" as with Axe Natural Look cream. Unfortunately, the Axe Natural Look lacks hold being that is provides LIGHT hold so I can't get away with it as a stand-alone product. As a result, I've had to combine them by adding a layer of this product followed by a layer of Axe Natural Look. Unfortunately, this is what it takes for my hair to look its best. I still dream of owning a SINGLE STAND-ALONE PRODUCT. Maybe one of these days... This product will not leave your hair crisp or crunchy but there is a very slight stiffness in some areas of my hair. Obviously I expected this as this product is providing more HOLD than the Axe Natural Look so that is the sacrifice one must make. This HOLD lasted for an entire 8 hour work day but I did have to add a touch of water to my hands a couple of times and run it through my hair to re-style as my hair fell slightly. Other parts of my hair are left soft (similar to Axe Natural Look). Now, to one of the grievances reviewers have reported. Some claim HAIR LOSS as a result of using this or the Spiking Glue. My suspicion is that these peeps aren't being completely logical and really thinking this out. When you rub this product between your hands to warm it up it becomes a firm white paste which adheres firmly to your hands. You should only apply this product when your hair is DAMP (NOT soaking wet or dry) or you will see white streaks in your hair turning you into a senior citizen possibly before your time. I have a feeling most of these complainers are applying the product to DRY hair. Also, I "suspect" that these people already are experiencing thinning hair. We do lose a fair amount of hairs EVERY day which is "perfectly normal, perfectly healthy". So, once these people force or push this paste through their DRY hair, they are likely ending up with HAIR in their hands. Shock-HER! That is my theory and I'm sticking to it...until someone comes up with a better explanation or proof that this product actually causes hair loss. Of course I'll update my review if I get "done dirty" and experience hair loss as well. LOL.Ponyboy101
