It was shorter then I was expecting. It was not as sturdy as the one I brought 15 years ago and they took away the storage from under since it is shorter. They also took away the breader door. It is going to have to do since I cant find a quality cage any where like I used to be able to find. Wish they made cages like they used to, cheep now.

    Assembled cage is nice and sturdy.
    It is a nice cage for the money, but the single page directions are the worst I have ever tried to follow, and I have put together a lot of furniture, shelving units, etc. The only simple parts were the four sides and wheels. None of the packages of hardware (bolts, nuts, washers, screws, springs, door locks,etc.) were labeled. I finally found a video on UTube after putting the make and model numbers in the search engine. The finished cage has good features, like the spring-locked food cup doors and heavy lock on the main door. K can't see my escape artist African Gray figuring out this one. The grate, playful base, and trays slide out for cleaning. I would give it a better rating of the instructions didn't stink.

    Bottom Grate Might Be A Concern
    My cage came quickly and with no dings, dents or misaligned screw holes. I have experience putting bird cages together so for me it was a breeze but for a first timer, the lack of written words and only pictures might be confusing. I would recommend finding a diagram online and then zooming in on the picture to ascertain which screws go where and how. Also, advice for newbies - it will be easier to align all the screw holes if you don't tighten any of the screws until everything is put together. ONE DRAWBACK: the bottom grate spacing is larger than the rest of the cage by maybe 1/16 of an inch. Seems like an insignificant amount of space BUT it makes it difficult for my Lovebird to stand on the bottom of the cage and is wide enough for her head to get caught. I remedied the problem by laying a stainless steel cooling rack (bakery item) on top of the grate. Another option would have been to use nylon cable ties to attach a wire mesh often used in aviaries but I was concerned about having to cut rough edges that could damage my bird. Cable ties can also be used to secure the top of the cage which does not attach securely to the sides (some people have reported their birds can remove the cage top, my bird cannot accomplish that). All in all, both my bird and I are happy with the cage, allowing for the one bottom-grate modification.

    Product did not come with instructions on how to put together, but it wasn't needed! Was extremely easy to put together and a nice 1 hr (or less) project for two people. Cage arrived at our home within 4 days of ordering it. It has nice features which make it very easy to clean, and everything seems really high quality. Nice dishes, beautiful powder coating, very nice looking. Also has nice security features, locks and handles for feeding doors etc. RECOMMENDED!
