Char-broiled Crap
Worst piece of crap grill I have ever owned. It is flimsy and won't stay lit. Half way through cooking burgers, it dies. Flame goes away. Reset the regulator, works for five minutes. My old Weber died and I thought this should work. Never again. I am a sucker.

    Absolute Trash
    I've had another model of the infrared and loved it. i bought this one, and the design difference is junk. the grates get plugged and reduced heat that comes up and through. let's not forget to add it won't stay lit on low or high. It blew the grates off the grill at one point. So I called Char Broiler and was told it needed a new regulator.l, but it's's covered by not shipping. Returning back to Walmart.

    Too hot, bad grill design
    I do like some of the features of this grill, but be aware this thing runs hot. Extremely hot. Even cooking on the lowest setting, it typically burns food on the outside before cooking internally. Also, the grill grates are a horrible design. They are not your typical grates as they are more solid along the bottom which is nice in preventing flare ups, but traps fats, juices, and food debris. This makes cleaning and burning off between uses a pain and borderline dangerous. My last complaint is the side shelves are not that solid. Pass on this grill and keep looking. I've owned the Weber Spirit before and will probably drop the coin on another to get a quality grill that will last for years. Hope this helps.

    NEW ISN'T ALWAYS BETTER!!
    I purchased this grill to replace an older Char-Broil grill that had been damaged by a snow plow. At first outward glance this new grill looks virtually the same, However, as I assembled the unit I was shocked to see the design and material changes that have resulted in a much lighter, less stout, and less functional grill. It works fine considering its price point but I certainly miss the design and quality of my old Char*Broil TRU Infrared grill.

    Initial Disappointment
    Just assembled this grill. Very pleased with fast and careful delivery by Wal-mart and Fed-X. But.............I have to agree with others that the assembly instructions are poor. There is very little text to explain the installation sketches. For example there is no text to explain that the casters are to be tightened by a staple-like tool. Customer has to guess that themself. Also parts on the instructions are identified with numbers but there are no corresponding numbers on the parts. Why ? Side table supports are stamped F and B but numbered 15 and 16 in the instructions. Wires to the igniter box are not labeled but after examining the connectors are two different sizes so that helps. The battery will fit either way but only work one way. If Char-Broil would beta-test their installation instructions these issues would be easily identified and corrected out of customer appreciation. Lastly - I agree with others that the store display stickers peel off easily but leave a darker stain on the grill cover. I haven't used it yet. I bought it sight-unseen trusting that it would last years like the same size TRU-infrared grill I am replacing. But the design has changed, There is no longer a large heat transfer pan .Plus I can see others point that the grates will need to be frequently cleaned with a brush whereas the old pan design could be used repeatedly and just scraped out a few times each year. And the old design used cast iron grates that will last forever. So my early assessment is this grill appears to be a step backward from the old design in terms of service life and ease of cleaning. Hopefully I am wrong. We will see.

    Quick but damaged
    Quick delivery but dented parts. Box showed no evidence on the outside but after opening, one side of the grill was dented and another had a bent corner apparently from the same impact. Was able to straighten enough with large pliers to assemble it but my new grill has collision damage.

    Not what I was expecting.
    I bought this grill because I have an older one almost like it. A tru infrared 2 burner. I'm disappointed with the new one. Not nearly as good as the older one. The materials and overall quantity isn't what it used to be. This one will not last 7 years like my old one. I won't buy another grill online. Had I seen this model in the store, I would not have purchased it.

    Love this grill!
    Inflated cooking is a bit different. No flare ups burning the hair off your arms, even heat and quick cooking. The only bad part is if you don't clean the cooking rack it will rot. The first grill I had took 4 years, but everything else was solid. I have bought 4 of this grill. Two for me two as gifts.
