New lid redesign weak and unsecure
I use A LOT of Rubbermaid containers. I have found them durable, of excellent design (lids interchangeable with certain sets), and economically priced, HOWEVER, the recent redesign of the TakeAlongs Squares' lids do not close securely when compared to my previously purchased TakeAlong Squares' lids. The lids close very weakly and I would be concerned with these lids failing easily when used in lunch containers/bags. This is really too bad as these used to be the best lunch container available. Please reconsider the 'new' design and make them more like the previous generations more securely closing design. Thank you.

    I have not been too pleased with the last Rubbermaid containers I purchased (the 5 cup %26 2 cup size). It seemed they were thinner than they used to be %26 did not last very long. These feel a little more sturdy.

    Rubbermaid TakeAlong Food Storage Containers.
    I love these containers. My sister's boyfriend spent 3 months in the hospital and I prepared cut fruit; jello and vegetables for him. I am not concerned if they are not returned as more can be bought. The containers also seal so that nothing will spill out.

    Great for snacks!
    These are perfect to put daily snacks in, which is what I'm using them for. I like how they have cup measurements on the side which is a helpful tool especially for dietary needs. I'm able to throw these in the freezer as well. I wash them on the top rack of the dishwasher too! I do however wish the lids would click together it would be easier to store and not lose any lids.

    Great for Stacking and Storing Light Meals
    I just go my Rubbermaid TakeAlongs for stacking and storing light meals. Top-rack dishwasher-friendly (although I hand-wash all my storage containers), freezer safe, and microwave ready (reheat only), I use the TakeAlongs for soup, fruits, veggies, salads, and pretty much anything that equates to about a little over two cups. Lids lock in place well and create a solid seal. Why four stars then? Again, the TakeAlongs are light-duty. One filled with strawberries cracked after being dropped on a hard surface. Treat them well, knowing their intended purpose and how to care for them, and they'll treat you well in return. Give them a try. I don't think you'll soon regret the purchase.

    Perfectly sized for lunches or leftovers
    I love these containers and have used them daily since receiving them. They are a perfect size to take my lunch in or to store leftovers in the fridge. They seal very well; not a struggle to open, yet not so easy to open that it creates a spill problem when transporting my lunches to and from work. I have had issues with this from other brands. I received this product for an honest review; and can honestly say it's one of my favorite products by far. I highly recommend these Rubbermaid 2 cup square mini takealongs to everyone who packs meals to take to work.
